Well, Scarlett, January 2013 has been a month filled with love and discovery. We spent the month in Valley Center with Mimi and Doodle, and you have been greeted by so many people who love you. Your Auntie Sarah and Uncle Anthony flew out here with two year old Bonnie and eleven month old, Clara. I have been amazed by the way that young children have loved you and treated you with such love and kindness. This month, you have been welcomed by Landon, Carson, Lucy, Laney, Harper, Isabel, Alexandra, Andre, Jr., Sandi, Amy, Rob, Andee, Jenn, Les, Chris, Tony, Steve, Denice, Sarah-Rose, Madeline, Paul, Jenna, Ginny, Andrea, Nick and so many more people. I do believe it takes a village to raise a baby and I want you to learn and grow from everyone who loves you. They each have something special to offer you and I know you will learn to appreciate what they each have to teach you. Please know that you are loved by so many and that the people who surround you with compassion and are so glad you have joined this world. This month has been one of the best ever. We have loved being here in paradise with Mimi and Doodle. They love you almost as much as we do.
It's been crazy to watch you grow. You have become so animated and seem to be enjoying yourself more. You still sleep in the swing every night, but I think we know it is time to wean you of this habit. It's hard for us to do because you have been giving us the gift of sleep (8 hours a night) and we sort of suspect that the swing gives us this freedom. You have been practicing your tummy time and you are super strong. You even rolled over on the first time you tried it, which means you are a super over achiever! Your eyes have started to open more and they are such a beautiful almond shape and are currently a piercing blue. We are not sure what color they will end up but we just think you are the most gorgeous baby ever. Here are a few photos to commerate this perfect month in Valley Center:
